YANA FundingIn December, 1996, YANA received its first grant, seed money from the Sisters of Bon Secours, which helped us open the original YANA Place. Since then, the Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention, the Maryland State AIDS Administration, the Baltimore City Health Department, the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the Butler Family Foundation , Love 4 One Another, and Broadway CARES have all provided significant support. In November 1999, the Open Society Institute (OSI) awarded YANA a substantial two-year grant, in partnership with the University of Maryland School of Nursing. YANA expanded its outreach and clinical services as a result, and the School of Nursing conducted an extensive evaluation of YANA's programs as the basis for possible replication in other geographical areas. OSI's funding resulted in increased services to hundreds of women and girls, along with the empirical knowledge that YANA's approach of compassionate outreach and services really works. Additional funding information will be posted soon. Y.A.N.A., 2013 West Pratt Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21223
